The replacement Diamond Active Mattress system is suitable to use with the Elite 3ft profiling beds. Complete with removable PU waterproof/vapour permeable cover, CPR facility and advanced “whisper quiet” pump with visual and audible low pressure and power failure alarms. The Diamond Mattress also benefits from an incredible 243kg maximum patient weight.
Providing the highest level of care and comfort, the Diamond active mattress is perfect for bariatric patients and those at risk of falls.

No side rails height extensions required
Many aspects of the way medical beds and active mattresses are designed to have been revised in the latest medical bed standard. One major aspect which was highlighted in the standard is that side rails should provide a minimum 22cm of protection above mattresses. A lot of beds are designed to take either 125mm or 150mm deep mattress. A lot of active mattresses are much deeper than this and therefore reduce the protection offered by side rails.
However, at only 125mm the Diamond Active Mattress, is one of the few ultra-low profile systems that ensure compliance with IEC 60601-2-52, without the need for side rail extensions.
The best possible pressure area care
At only 12.5cm deep, the Diamond Active mattress shows comparable pressure mapping to traditional deeper mattresses. Additionally, it provides immense comfort, an improved surface for therapy and greater independent user mobility.
The Diamond “Ventilated Stacked Cell Technology” with compact cells and integrated memory foam base-layer reduces shear and friction especially when the mattress is profiled.
The compact cells provide better support and improved profiling compared to deeper systems with wider cells.
Whisper quiet pump
Noise generated by mattress pumps is intrusive and disturbing to users, affecting interaction with carers; reducing enjoyment from activities such as reading or watching television. More importantly, this continuous background noise can result in disrupted sleep patterns and significant health issues. The Squirrel “Whisper Quiet” pump reduces noise significantly and is effectively silent in use.
