Care Show 2017

Care Show is the biggest event in Renray’s calendar and this year was no exception. With a brand new stand, new product lines to showcase and a team of dedicated and knowledgeable staff on hand to talk all things furniture, Care & Dementia Show 2017 was our biggest and best year to date!

The Stand

With over 50 years experience of successfully manufacturing and supplying furniture to the healthcare sector and being one of the leaders in our industry, we wanted this year’s stand to reflect this great achievement.

Whilst our previous stand served us well, it was time to inject new life into our exhibiting presence so we hired Above Line, exhibition stand specialists, to design and build our main stand for Care Show.

The design brief was for the stand to be open plan, easily accessible, include a meeting area and a chair stack, give a focus on soft furnishings and just generally have the “wow” factor. This brief was met above and beyond!

With a 4m high and 7m wide arch, the stand definitely packed a punch! It incorporated a three tier chair stack and an informal meeting area with walnut high stools and bistro tables, where we offered visitors refreshments including soft drinks, beer or a glass of fizz! The room sets were open plan and brightly lit with wall space available for us to hang soft furnishing and upholstery fabrics. New photography from our upcoming care brochure was used on the graphic panels on the outside walls of the stand, giving a sneak peek of what is to come.

The main feature of the stand was the illuminated Renray sign which could be seen from the far edges of the exhibition hall and caught the eye of many passers-by, drawing them onto the stand.

The Furniture

This year we showcased our new premium bedroom furniture range, Aspen, a stylish and chic collection in dual wood finish of satin blackwood and cashmere with contemporary part brushed T-bar steel handles. The matching Carer electric profiling bed, plush soft furnishings and beautiful, velvet swept curtain and pelmet, in soft pink and truffle hues, perfectly complimented this range, attracting lots of attention from visitors to the stand.

Within the lounge area was the elegant Lyneham sofa with roll topped arms and fluted high back Broxton chair. We used contemporary and opulent fabrics in natural and teal tones for the upholstery and curtains to give a luxurious feel. The occasional and display furniture were made in an Odessa Golden Oak wood finish to keep the lounge area bright and modern.

The Response

A new stand meant a busy stand! Existing clients were impressed with Renray’s new look and feel while new faces were enticed onto the stand to discuss furniture requirements for future projects. We also took advantage of Care Connects meeting planner and invited some key figures to come and meet us. There were lots of complimentary feedback on the design of the stand and choice of furniture displayed, making all the hard work and effort worth it!
