KEY FEATURES
Manual Adjustable Backrest
- 30 degrees. Recommended during mechanical ventilation to reduce risk for ventilator-associated pneumonia.
- 30 to 45 degrees. Semi-Fowler position used to promote oxygenation via maximum chest expansion and is implemented during events of respiratory distress.
- 45 to 60 degrees. Fowler’s position facilitates the relaxing of tension of the abdominal muscles, allowing for improved breathing especially with respiratory complications.
- 70 degrees. Facilitates feeding and improved postural drainage.
