Infection Control
Many design features have been incorporated into our ward furniture to facilitate easy cleaning. All wooden frames are coated in hygienilac lacquer and a wide range of anti-microbial fabrics are available.(See our Customer Support section).
Tissue Viability
Sitting has been implicated as a primary cause of pressure ulcers with 75% of patient’s weight distributed over 8% of the body surface area.
Renray Healthcare has successfully implemented many chair replacement schemes at a number of NHS Trusts. Predominately supplying the Elite chair which was designed using anthropometric data which highlights 13 critical dimensions to achieve good sitting posture. As standard the Elite chair is supplied with a pressure reducing seat cushion.
Other ranges available with pressure reducing cushions are the Baroque, Balero, Caledonian, Queen Anne, Renray and Snowdon recliners.
Manual Handling
Numerous ranges of chairs are available with housekeeping wheels to enable the chair to be easily moved from one end of the ward to the other. The arms on the Elite, Baroque and Caledonian chair allow easy grip with rounded ends and a stable base to push from.
The Elite range of chairs is available with drop down arms, aiding lateral transfer and the sacral gap allows easy access to fit hoist slings.
